Hi, would it be ok to keep 2-4 ADF's in my 20 gallon (stocking list in my sig). I have seen some in my lfs, they are very small and a kind of light yellow creamy colour, so i'm pretty sure the are adf's.

edit: i'm thinking of putting the female betta in her own 2.5 gallon, but not sure yet. Also do they need a place out of water? (basking area?)

Thanks :good:

I THINK that the african frogs are the ones that will eat small fish then again i could be wrong, and no i dont THINK their the ones that need the land/water tank but then again not 100% sure, do a search on em.

African DWARF frogs stay small and won't eat other fish. African CLAWED frogs grow much bigger and should not be kept with fish as they will eat them. African dwarf frogs look like this:

While african clawed frogs sound more like you described (the color that is), this is an albino, which are the ones you are most likely to find in stores:

Ye, they look more like the clwaed frogs, i'll have to keep searching for the dwarf frogs

Thanks :good:

ADF's are such great little guys, they are so entertaining and do not bother a single other soul in the tank (except once in awhile to bounce off them usually surprising the fish). We got one from the lfs who told us to feed him fish flake, but awhile later we learned a bit more and started feeding brine shrimp and the like, he became the most beautiful little frog. Really a nice addition to a smaller tank I think. - CJ
