hi, how long are these supposed to hide at one time? i have two of them in my 10g tank with one platy and there hiding in a section of rocks and slate... i have read up on them loving hiding places but when i first got them they where swimming around and floating and seemed fairly active. the last i saw of them was a leg pop out about 6 hours ago... before that they acted normal and eating a bit of live bloodworm. what are these dooshbags doing! im not going to give in and ill keep stairing at those rocks untill one of them makes a move becuase im getting confused. hopefully you might be able to hel[ me, sorry for being a noob its probably totally normal but its been a while. :sly:

I have 1 adf, and he/she hides most of the time, and usually comes out at around 6pm+, and he usually sits around, or climbs onto the plants.
How long have you had them, as i had mine for 3 week before he/she started being active.

well i have two of them for about 2 days now in a cycling tank but they acted normal and the tank is doing very well so its confusing becuase when i see an arm or a lef pop out which isnt often they seem quick and not injured.. and i know the rock pool wont have fallen on them becuase it was planted well..they dont just normally hide in a pair im told by one freind whos had them for 2 weeks or so... i know they do hide a fair bit but for this long? hmm

Not sure really, no expert on them. Just see how they go, when they get comfortable with the tank, they will be out and about. Or they might like the hiding space so much, they will stay there for long periods of time (dont go moving it around, as this may take them longer to get used to their surroundings).

ok, thnx for the repply.. you should get another to go with yours, im told there best in pairs.. thnx for the info much appreciated
