My brother bought me one of these, it's a really nice looking fish. But i'm a bit worried that he's not really reef safe. I had 2 small clowns (nemos) just to start with, i'll be taking the 1 back soon, the other dissapeared overnight a while back. But my african is quite alot bigger and every now and again chases the other clown around. He's had quite a few cleans from my shrimps, but every now and again will chase them and almost bight them, especially if i'm feeding and the shrimp try swim to the surface.

I'm really getting sick of people buying me fish, allthough i like the setiment, no-one really understands that not everything goes with everything in my familly, and that you need paitence!

are you sure that's the right name? I've never heard of it.

but that's very true about other people buying things for your tank,
not knowing whats in it.--nice gesture, but could be more trouble than
it's worth!

well at first i thought it was a red sea two-barred clownfish, but then i noticed a 3rd stripe by his tail, and my lfs had a very old beatun up one aswell, and the guy said it was a african clown. And ofcourse my brother didn't know anything about it, xcept the guy at the shop asked how long the rock had been in the tank! yet anouther very wise shop assistant! :grr:

General rule of thumb.. Clowns dont mix. :*)
