I think there are some similar threads on here somewhere, i will go hunting, but i did need to specifically raise the issue today

I need to raise the issue pretty quick as a friend of mine needs to move her ACF on pretty fast, i think its about 3-4" and i could collect it tomorrow

It would go in my 48x22x20, 300 litres, with Reed Fish and Senegal Bichir, those fish are all in the 4" region. Also have x1 Syno thats about 3-4"

So adding an ACF, a fairly "safe" move all round?

What can you tell me about having an ACF? My understanding is that dietary requirements are not far off, what my other fish have.

Also hitting Google with it

right, think my biggest concern is this issue.... any body got any views on it?

Filtration
The issue of filtration is somewhat controversial. The frogs have a sensory system (lateral line) that allows them to sense vibrations in the water, so some experts believe that using filters provides constant stressful stimuli to the frog (compared to a human constantly being exposed to the noise from a jackhammer). However, gentle filtration is used by some owners with success, and this will keep the water a lot cleaner. These frogs live in stagnant water in the wild, but that is not the same as dirty water in an aquarium. If no filtration is used, the water should be nearly fully changed every week, if not more often.

SHOULD ACF'S BE KEPT IN AS NEAR AS POSSIBLE TO STILL WATER CONDITIONS?

my 48x22x20 has x2 Eheim 2028's and lots of surface agitation
