is it hard to keep african cichlids? :( ,because i would like two buy some.any help wud be greatful

That is a rather open question, but the direct answer is no, they are not hard to care for... if you have the correct living conditions i.e. 50+ gallon tank (IMO), plenty of rock and cave formations and the proper water specs. Make sure you do plenty of research before you go and buy anything because you don't want to waste money nor do you want to waste a fish's life! Cichlids are picky when it comes to whom you make their tankmates so be careful and they like a wide spectrum of foods!

Africans in general are a hardy fish. Most can be forgiveing for beginner errors. Like stated above you need to reserch the fish you want and make sure there diet and aggressiveness is in the same ball park. Theres a ton africans out there so you might want to goto your local fish store and take a look at what they got and write the names of the fish down and google them to check there diet requirements and aggresiveness. Also if you have any questions then post it on here. Africans also like hard water so test your water and if its on the soft side you will need to harden it.
