African Cichlid Not Looking So Hot

These are the sign of gill flukes.Laboured breathing.Pale excess mucas on gills, or red and inflamed.Darting around, flicking and rubbing on objects.Spitting food out or not even eating. Can lose weight.Swim in a jerky movement and being listless.Increased breathing, (as for oxygen deficiency), shying at objects, jerky swimming movements in conjunction with shock colouring or apathetic "hanging around" in the aquarium are signs of infection with gill worms. In the case of infection with skin trematoda, bloodshot areas of skin may also be observed. Infection of the gills may be diagnosed using simple means as follows: catch the suspected fish and lay them on a damp surface, then, with a pair of tweezers, carefully raise one gill cover. The white worms may be easily recognised using a magnifying glass (10x).Sorry ever time you edit or reply its mess the post up.

Well I have noticed a few of the things you have stated. I don't know if I would have a way to see in her gills that well. If it is any help, she was always kind of picked on by the other female lab trew.

Well I bought a 10 gal to keep her in with filtration. She is still breathing heavily and upside down, but I treat the 10 and 90 gallon with API stuff so cross your fingers and pray for my little girl! I have high hopes if she can make it through tonight.

Sorry bless her she did sound in a bad way.
R.I.P.
