African Cichlid No Tail! :(

my dad has a few OB peacocks in his assorted african tank. he found one of them all beat up from other fish, most of its fins are badly damaged. I went to look at it and it still swimming and balanced but staying in a corner. from what i can see it has no ick and they did not pick on him enough to damage the swim bladder. i isolated him in a floating nursery, b/c my dad doesnt have a hospital tank. we are wondering if the tail and fins will heal, how long it will take. and if we can do anything to help him?

Poor thing.
If fish are bullying him the best thing to do when he's recovered is rehome him.
Keep a close eye on his fins for infection.
Yes his fins should grow back.

id medicate with melafix, should help prevent infection and heal things up better
