hi guys
need a bit of advice,my daughter has a platy that is sick, and shes getting a bit distressed.the fish is very lethargic, lays on the bottom.it will have a burst of energy and swim for about 10 secs, then lay on its side again.i can see no obvious signs of infection/damage,also fish is bright eyed and has good colour.i have removed it from the main tank,it is the only fish showing these signs.water quality is good in main tank.i know this is a hard one but if anyone has any idea at all,pls let me know.thxs

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

She not sounding to good i'm afraid.
They can dart around when there dying.
Does she turn upside down.
Does she look bloated or thin.
What does it look like when she goes to the toilet.
Can she maintain balance in the water.
Check her anus to see if it looks enlarged or red and inflamed or swollen.
How old is the platy.
Has she just had fry.

fish cant keep balance, lays on bottom on side.its male(its my daughter getting distressed).no obvious signs of disease,im no expert but fish looks a little bloated, but not excessively so.water quality in tank is on the button.fish has no appetite,as for age,im unsure we have had it 10 wks.been like it for 2 days now.hate to say it but i dont want to see it suffer, would it be best to end its misery?

All you can do is try a bacterial med in issolation like anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
Are her scales sticking out.
