*advice Required* Looking For Some Small Fish For My Tank That Has Shr

Hello,

I am looking for some advice on what fish i could have in my tank,curently we have 7 danios,2 vampire shrimp,5 amano shrimp and 7 cherry red shrimp and a couple of ottos

I have in mind chili rasboras/neon tetras. I would love guppys but would they attack my beloved shrimps?



Are there any other small teeny fish that would be sutable? Its a 75litre tank with loads of tall plants and hidey caves,im pretty sure any shrimplets (if i ever manage to get a male cherry shrimp) would have plenty of hidey places.

Guppies might be a bit too slow and their flowing tails a bit too tempting for the danios. I would go with the Neons. Better size fit with the danios, though not quite as active. They should be ok. What species of danio do you have? Their temperaments vary a bit.

yes they are on both accounts! have seen those in a lfs and beautiful but £5 each so would be quite expensive to get a decent shoal going.

im glad the neons are ok-the other half wants them,im not fussed myself ;-) so it will keep him happy!

saw some chili rasboras in a tank at a lfs the other day,they had them in a small (approx 30l) tank with crystal red shimp juvi's and was well planted so i presume they are ok. they were swimming at the middle/top and the shrimplets were doing there thing on the bottom quite happy. But knowing lfs they seem to shove all sorts together-saw an assasin snail happily munching on a baby cherry shrimp the other day in one!

My danios are 3 zebra and 2 leopard. there were 5 zebras but when we put the leopards in,the male leopard attacked the younger male zebras and killed the two. he is a nasty miserable fishy! He obviously hasnt googled himself cause he shouldnt of done that LOL. He is another reason why i wont go for guppys.
