I have fallen for this gouramis and would really like it.

I have 1 old golden gouramis and 11 neons and 3 platy's

Rio 400

Any problem you can foresee ??

Oh and I would like to add a couple of bristle nose plecs a few more plats or tetras and corries..

Please be brutally honbest afore I buy this new fish.

lfs said it had been returned due to moving owners.

All I can say is that in my experience (not my tank-father in law's tank) they are agressive little buggers and they don't exactly stay little!

The father-in-law's kissing gourami is constantly chasing his two blue gouramis. Also took a disliking to his sail-fin molly....

Sorry :(

Best wait until a gourami expert comes along !

This is a largish slow moving fish.

Not as big as large Gouramis but is not small and almost glides in a tank in the shop with about 40 other fish and doesn't seem to be bothering them at all,

Description:

This is what I have read so far however I have heard stories. This one definately is about 13cm long and about 10cm high ? girth measurement this is my estimate a guess really.

I wondered if there was a pink large gouramis as it maybe not advisable but I do love the look of this and it keeps looking as I look on a daily basis.

Yeah I know the ones-they do get quite agressive-more to do with defending their territory than anything else. They get huge as well. I'm sure they are the ones that are eaten in their native country....

Just seen a compatability website and it says no and that they need to be kept in groups of four..

Glad I did not impulse buy.

Hi, I bought a tank complete with one large Kissing Gourami and slowly added more gourami to this tank. I have 2 Opaline, 2 Thick Lipped and also 4 Gold Barbs in with 4 Kissers (3 are babies less that 3" the original one is about 6") There is a bit of chasing at feeding time but mainly between the Kissers, they don't really bother with the others. I think they are lovely interesting fish and from what I have experienced the aggressiveness depends totally on the individual fish.

i have one male pink kisser with 6 black skirt tetras and a couple of gold dojos, and the kisser just does his own thing and doesn't really bother any of the other fish. sometimes he even tries to tag along with the dojos and rummage off the bottom.
