I currently have a 25 gallon tank with a blue ram gold ram and an angel. I want a school of small neons but dont know if that would work? Thanks in advance.

A full grown angel would gobble down the neons in the second so I would avoid those...why not try a school of cardinals? They have more color and are a bit larger.

yeah i regret letting the gf get an angel fish. haha. I wanted somekind of smaller colorful schooling fish.

Well cardinal tetras grow to like 1.5-2" instead of the neons 1-1.5". They would be slightly bigger than the neons and big enough ot not fit into the angel's small mouth. cardinal tetras cost a bit more than neons, but its worth it. as stated before they are prettier. they look jsut like neons, but instead of the red underside only going up about halfway on the cardinals it goes al lthe way from tail to mouth. besides the slightly different size, and the red line going the entire length of the belly, cardinals and neons look almost identical.

so the rams wouldnt mess with them at all? I also dont want to over stock at all so what would be a good amount?

The rams would be fine with them, and I would reccommend adding atleast 6 cardinals. Oh, just to give you a heads up if you don't already know, the angel MIGHT outgrow your tank, if the tank has a height of 18" or more then you should be fine, however when full grown it may be quite cramped in only 25 gallons of water.

ok good to know, it is a taller cube tank. but maybe that will be a good excuse to move him into another tank.
