Hello friends.
I have kept tropicals (community tank) for about 10 years and for the last 6 months swapped over to cichlids. In the back of my mind I always new that the best was marine but always feared the cost. I saw a bargain set up on Ebay and am delighted to have purchased it, the only problem is I am worried the filtration is not adequate.
I set up I have purchased has a internal Fluval 3plus, a Boyo 310 protein skimmer and a additional power head to circulate the water. The seller assured me that this set up was adequate and that he had been running a fully stocked marine set up for 2 years. I have added a Interpet pf3 which I was using in my old trop/cichlid tank but on reading I am worried this is just a additional nitrate trap. I have bought 2 pieces of live rock but these are extremely expensive (£35 for the two). I have in there at the moment 2 Black Velvet Neon Damsels.
I would realy appreciate any advice that could help me out.
Thanks Loads
Luke.
