its brand new, came with the tank, and i have fitted it, i see water flowing out of it and the LED light is on, so apparently its working,

do i need it on all the time, or only when the water goes green?
will the fish suffer any adverse effects from use of it?
have i fitted it correctly? ( its at the opposite end of the tank from the filter)

the sucker disks are not very good, they keep coming off so ill have to have a hunt about for some spare ones and replace them

i have the same sterilizer. doesn't cost a lot, but it gets the job done as long as the led light is bright red.

i keep it on only when the water turns green, as replacement light units can be expensive. unless you want your water to be sparkling clear all the time, i wouldn't keep it on 24/7.

the fish shouldn't suffer any adverse effects and it looks like you assembled it correctly.

ok, the light dosent seem to be bright, infact i had to cup my hand around it to see the light.ill turn it off as i dont need it in use atm.. thankyou xxxx

What brand and model number is that steriliser? I didn't know that you could buy a submersible one like that. Cool
