Advice for lighting for planted tank

Hey Andy!

That light setup sounds close to the one i just got,
A Coralife 2x65 watt 50/50 compact... about the same dimentions too..

Only took 3 days to come to my front door... pretty sweet

Mine was on sale for 104 bucks on Monday, total with shipping was 116..... but it looks like it just went up to 119.... go figure..

It may or may not fit in your hood though.. tough to tell...
I just have glass on top of my tank, so i just layed it right on top

Thanks Walt, I think I'm gonna get it and if it doesnt fit my hood I'll either buy glass canopies or hack it.

What does the 50/50 mean?

Coralife 50/50 lamps are a mixture of 50% 6000 Kelvin natural daylight and 50% Kelvin Actinic 03 blue. B)
