i've had it up to here with him, hes ruining my tank.
he thinks hes the big dog and just generally mucks around in there, digging in the gravel and stuff.
hes also very vicious. he killed a small plec i put in a few weeks ago, and im sure hes been eating some of the other fishes eggs.
the worst thing though, is that when i go to feed them or clean the tanbk, he comes right up to the glass and tries to stare me out!
hes got a very mean look on him, i know its stupid, but it unsettles me.
my tv watching chair is also pretty close to the tank, so while im watching television he will come up and press his face against the glass, which makes me feel very uncomfortable, so much so that ive started finding excuses not to watch tv etc.
i feel daft getting intimidated by a fish thats a couple of inches long!! so ive decided to get rid of him.
at first i though about executing him, ive been told that putting him in the freezer is the most humane method?
ive since been convinced not to go down that route for the time being, so ive come to ask advice here.
how can i go about getting him re-homed? is there such a thing as the rspca for fish?
unfortunately i cant take him back to the shop i bought him from, as we recently fell out over some bronze catfish.
thanks for any advice, im really at my wits end here :)

john.

Try you local fish store, they may take him... but I wouldn't admit to them that he's intimidating to you  anyways good luck John, also most killi fish do eat other fish eggs, as do all other fish, and are you 100% certain that it was him who killed the pleco? I mean you may have bought an unhealthy one and just not've realized it... I've done that many times in the past and thought it was a fish killing them so I sat there for hours on ends just to watch the fist begin to twitch and die without ever coming in contact with my other fish...

it was definitely him that killed the pleco. he might not have physically killed him, but he had been pestering and chasing the plec since i put him in the tank, and i think eventually the little thing just got too stressed out and maybe had a heart attack.
as i said, im not on good terms with the local fish store at the moment, so thats a non-starter really.
is there any way i could possibly train him to stop coming to the tank and looking at me, possibly by scaring him somehow every time he does it?
not sure if fish are intelligent enough to do this with, but this one sure seems it. i swear he knows it gets to me and thats why he does it.

   My recommendation, if YOUR not on good terms with you LFS then get a buddy who is to take it there and get rid of it, or go to a fish store further away :p just don't kill the little buddy!

 You have so made my day!
I have this visual in my head of your fish silently stalking you...plotting...
Sorry I don't want to make it any worse, even if he is evil incarnate, I'm sure you can find a home for him somewhere!

there is no need to kill it. Put an advert' in the sale and buy section on this site and I'm sure someone will take him off you.
