Advice for a beginner please

been given an Elite system 3 its an acrylic 19 litre tank.. its supposed to be for goldfish but can i put a heater in and have i as tropical?
I have no fish yet but it is set up..

5 GALLONS = betta and thats about it very small im afraid

edit- yes a 25w heater for it as well

hi, got my self a 24x12x12 12 gallon tank...
how many of the following can i have..
guppies
platies
betta
corys
some tetra

In that tank (which is about 15 gallons) I'd go for maybe 4 cories, 6 tetras and a few platies. Bettas, I'd say not. BTW, the 'goldfish' tank, I emailed the makers before and they claimed it was only meant for a goldfish for the short term. Yeah, right.

thinking of blagging it off and getting a 30 - 40 UK gallon tank
