Advanced ICH!

We all know the most common disease as Ich.

I am wondering if a sick baby oscar (very few white dots of ich) from a lfs will transfer the disease to my 3 other fish (medium jack dempsey, medium oscar, and baby jack dempsey)

Please note that my tank is in amazing condition and water parametres are completely ideal.

So basically, can the sick oscar give ich to my healthy fish?

ich can spread extremely easily...i would put him in a seperate tank and take care of him without the worry of it spreading to other fish...

Well the same story was with my puffer who had ich...I know that ich can not stand salt but I think the puffer was in salt free water or something. Anyway when I put the puffer in my tank the ich soon was gone after I added epsome salt. I recommend you do the same or soon began treating the ich when you get the oscar. Oh by the way what size tank is this that is oscar is going in?

The ich will spread unto your other fish.

When treating, it goes through a free swimming stage (it goes through that when not treating as well), and will affect all fish it comes near really.

If you really want to help him out, I recommend getting a small (20G ish) quaranteen tank to treat him in... but don't add him to a tank with healthy fish.
