Hi all~

I have a dilemma that I was hoping some of the kind people on the inverts board might help me with. I've looked here and there on these boards and on the web but couldn't find the answer to this question: I am going away on vacation for a week and am wondering what to do about my ADF. I am reasonably confident my tropical fish will do just fine without food, but I don't know what to do about my ADF. Can he survive for a week, or shall I arrange to have some friends stop by to feed him (prequantified food, of course!)? I've read they can be fed every two days, but I don't know how they would do a week without food.

Thanks for any assistance you can give me!

It's funny that you mention that, I just got home from a week vacation and I made my little brother feed my ADF's for me so I have no idea if they could make it a week without feeding. I just wanted to bring up the coincidence is all. :p

Thanks for the replies Teelie and ToWnPrEp! I may decide that my ADF can make it for a week...on the other hand, I may have my friend come in on Wednesday and feed the fish and the frog.

ToWnPrEp, where were you for the week? Maybe we're vacationing in the same place too!

Hi sinistral :)

If you have someone who can come and feed your fish and frogs, by all means ask them to do this.

It's not just a matter of feeding them, but of checking the temperature and making sure the filter's working, etc. If you can't get someone to come in, your frogs would be happy for a week in a temporary home in a gallon jar that could easily be transported to a friends house. :D

Remember to leave the forum's address with your friend in case of emergency, if you cannot be reached.
