I had 2 adf's, one of which died randomly thismorning for unknown reasons. He had no signs of any growth, but now my other adf has a large white growth, which is getting larger, and has now reached his left arm and he cant move it (the arm also appears red/sore)... (it started on his lower back)... i just added melafix to the tank hoping to cure it, but was wondering if theres any idea on what it is or what to do,.. he floats along the top of the tank, having trouble swimming.

Heres a pic, its blurred but note some whiteness around his body / arm if u can see it...

yes it kinda was fluffy, and he died while i was at work today, rip to both myserious deaths:S now another question, any ideas what it is and should i be treating the tank with melafix or something to ensure it doesnt get another victim?

Just some daily water changes. Good luck.

I am not really helping but good to know that :
I treated my 5 gal tank with Maracyn 1+2 a while ago (when the neon was sick in the other tank and I was afraid to spread the disease) and the ADF I have in there was fine with the treatment. At that time I looked to see if ADF can take antibiotics and I didn't find much.
