Adelaide Zoo

I am currently doing a research assignment with two of my class mates, Lucy and Megan, at the Royal Adelaide Zoo. Im studying the lion exhibit, but whilst i was visiting, took the opportunity to snap some other animals...

Why does the Adelaide zoo still use wires? Do you know?
Perth found the wires were dangerous(i think thats why) and now use glass or a massive mote/ditch.

In singapore zoo, they have enclosure that look exactly like the wild!!!

Yeah, thats true. Adelaide zoo is currently under-going improvements to their facilities, with most exhibits now utilizing the glass/plastic sheilding. The lions exhibit is huge, and old, so its probably goin to stay that way for a while. We do have the 'Sth East Asian Rain Forset Exhibit/Bird House which utilizes a mote, to keep multiple animals, including Taipirs, Apes, and birds in the same area.

Adelaide Zoo is the second oldest in australia, and its geographical location prevents its expansion much further. So building new exhibits is tough.
