I have a 20 gallon, low light tank that is lightly stocked with fish and plants. I have a few tetras, some java moss, and java fern. I have very soft water 0 kh and 0gh; it's probably comparable to RO water. I add baking soda and seachem equilibrium to bring these levels up to 80ppm kh and 150ppm gh. I know that the seachem equilibrium has the elements needed to bring up the gh, but do i also need to add a trace element fertilizer (liquid????) so that these plants will grow decently?

And if so, how much should i add

In a similar tank I was adding a 1/2 dose of Seachem Flourish 1 or twice a week. I also used a 1/2 dose of Flourish Excel (carbon source).

If you plants are doing okay I would not change, unless you want faster growth.
