Adding Water

Hi everyone, I have a question, We have a 20 gal tank with some baby dalmation molly's. I need to add water, I have had some tap water sitting out for 2 day's, is it safe to put in the tank It is about the same temp.

Chlorine will dissipate from water after about 24 hours. Chloramine, which most water companies also add to water, will not dissipate. It must be removed or neutralized by adding a dechlorinator such as Stress Coat (the one I use but there are a lot more of them). Just make sure the dechlorinator you use says that it removes (not neutralizes) chlorine.

Also, I see your Group is "Validating". You will need to go to the email you received when you registered and click the link to validate your membership. Until you do that, you will only be able to post in the Newbie and Beginners sections. If you never received the email, check your email preferences as it may have been blocked by anti-spam software of sent to a bulk folder. You can also go to "My Controls" at the top of the page and have it resent to you. I think the link is in the upper right under My Controls.

Thanks for the advice, I do have some stress coat. About the e mail. I tried validating it kept making a noise like a pop up blocker when I clicked the link, I'll try again.

Do you have some type of pop-up blocker installed? That may be the problem. My p-u blocker is thru netscape but it usually doesn't afect links in emails. If you can't get it to work, try to PM William. He can manually do it for you but he is the only one that can.
