hi i am ready to add the salt to my tank, whats the best way of doing so? without messing it up. thanks

Best way to do it is mix it in a bucket and then pour the contents of the bucket into the tank :). USUALLY its around 1/2 cup per gallon but some salt mixes vary.

I would add direct to the tank slowly (if there is no livestock in the tank that is)

You can do this the first time you fill the tank up. This means there is nothing in there at all not even rocks or sand. Sorry for repeating everything just said, just wanted to clear it up a little :good:

I just make my RO then bung it in a bucket and heat up the water to my tank level (79F) and then turn on my maxijet and pour the salt in. I prefer to do it this way because temperature can slightly affect SG readings and i like to chuck my water in after about 2 hours of mixing it up so i can't take any chances.
