Adding Fish To Tank

Think I posted this in wrong place?

Just a quick question about adding new fish to a tank that all ready as fish in, I been advised to turn lights off for the first couple of hours? what do you do when you introduce new fish.

Yeah, turning lights off helps stop fish getting too stressed.

Float the bag for temp to settle, add tank water to bag, little bit at a time, for ph to change to yours. When ready, use a net to move the fish.

when you get the fish hoem turn the tank lights off.float the bag for 15 mins then every 5 mins add some tank water to the bag.do this for about 30mins then when you add the fish to the tank be careful not to add any tank water.i always leave the tank lights off for the rest of the day as it reduces stress.
