I've had the tank set up sine Sunday and I had put in the sachet of that dechorinator / good bacteria stuff.

I've left the air pump on as it says and I'm going to get some fish tomorrow to put in.

My mum really wanted to have a cardinal / neon tank, the tank has been running now for 3 days so I'm considering getting a small amount of fish tomorrow.

I'm considering getting a group of 6 neons tomorrow then about a month or so after putting them in getting say 4/5 Cardinals.

Would I be overstocked with this amount of fish? As I know that Neons like swimming around in groups I thought that it would be best to get them in a group of 6... Would there be anything wrong with this?!

How big is your tank?
Also you've only had the tank running for three days so this means it has not fully cycled I don't think. Read up on some links here about cycling your tank. Neon tetras are sensitive sometimes, so water quality to them is precious.

Dechlorinators work, bacteria supplements don't. You really need to cycle the tank first, please read the thread on cycling.
