Hi All

Im purchasing a Hagen Plant Grow Natural System CO2 unit. Its my first time using CO2 and i wanted to add it to an established tank... would this be okay to do? is there a best way to do it or is there anything i need to be careful of?

Many Thanks

Hels

I am assuming it’s a yeast-based system. Just start it off there really isn’t any risk in putting it on an established tank, Once it’s the right size for the tank there is little chance of overdosing the Co2. Just make sure the mixture doesn’t get into the tank water. Good water circulation, no air stone and make sure the water coming from the tank doesn’t break the water surface, (to keep the Co2 in the water). It can take an hour or more before the mixture starts producing gas and a day or so for the ladder or diffuser to work properly.

Thanks Liam

Hopefully it'll arrive soon. I can't wait to get it set up and see the results.

Thanks

Hels
