This has probably been asked a million times already, so I appologize.

I have some rosey barb and platy fry in a 5 gal tank ranging from 7-8 months old.
I have a 35 gal awaiting their arrival. It houses 1 rosey barb (daddy) and some various platies.

The thing I am worried about is the barb being aggressive towards the babies since he has been alone for about 5 months.

Is there anything that I can do to make the transition easier on the little guys? I have lots of plants and hiding spaces.

Any thoughts?

the best rule of thumb for adding babies back into the main tank, is if they are all big enough that they won't fit easily into the mouths of any of your other fish and become an easy dinner...............................

The platy aren't full grown yet... but they are getting close. All of the fish are large enough that they wont be dinner. I am more worried about them being bullied than eaten. I wouldnt say the tank is heavenly planted, but I do have a few plants in there, and lots of rocks and a little cave thingie... Heres a pic. (some of the plants are real now... but this is the basic layout)
