I FINALLY found a Bristlenose today for my algae ridden tank. He's already cleaned the whole front of the glass :hyper:

I was wondering if I could maybe add some dither fish to calm these girls down a bit. Say some Black Neons or Rasboras ? Anyone have any luck with these or have another suggestion ? It is a 30 gallon.

Also for my 3 gal. with one Betta. Could I add a snail or somthing to that one ?

Thanks !

neons can be a little nippy, so maybe they wouldnt be so good with the girlies

in ur 3 gallon a snail wud be ok, but they are really heavy on the bio load

dunno what to suggest huni

yeah, tetras are know to not keep their mouths to theirselves :shifty:

I would say platys. They easy to take care of, feed them the same stuff as as the betta... the only problem is... they reproduce like... rabbits    so you have to keep the population in control but the parents eat their young and the bettas may over stuff themselves with the fry.

Rasbos will go well with your girls, i know a young lady that has them together and has no problems.

You can have a snail no problem but keep an eye on the water stats cos as phoe said the are lil waste monsters

Thank you all. Well I got fed up with the aggression and placed an ad on Craigslist. I have a girl coming by tommorrow to take all the Bettas. Her and her boyfriend both keep fish and she had a Betta for 4 years and misses him. at least I know they're going to a good home

I kept my "Pinky" though. She seems happy in her 3 gallon tank by herself.

Sorry you had such a bad time with them but at least you've found a good home for them to go to.

Let us know how Pinky is doing :good:

Thank you Netty.

I am considering keeping Sherbert too.

I think it may be a "he"....still quite tiny. Are these colors unusual ? I'm having a hard time giving up this one.

I personally really like Cambos. Looks like she's got nice colouring in her fins....I would be tempted to keep too and see how she matures :good:
