Acting weird

my male neon swardtail is not acting normal for about a week now he has been not real activly swimming. He eaither stays by the filter or on the bottem usually by the filter he eats like he always has but thats is then he goes right back to the filter.....whats wrong?

What are your recent water stats like ammonia, nitrate and nitrites please?

to be totaly honest im not sure my test kit ran out yesterday but it has been fine for the past week ive checked it everyother day

At first glance, it could be internal bacteria- white or stringy poo is a major symtom, or constipation but its hard to say without any stats to go on. Try feeding him some cooked de-shelled peas and see if he perks up a bit, he could just have some digestion problems, which are quite common.
