Ive just bought some java moss and will be buying a couple other plants today. I was wondering if there is a process i should follow once i get the plants before putting them into the tank.. Kinda like acclimating a fish before adding it to its new home.
Mixing water etc.. or do i just dump it in and go. Thanks

No dont bother, wack them into the tank as soon as you get them :)

Some people will dip plants in a weak bleach solution to try and get rid of any possible snails, but i never bothered.

The only thing i do is soak them in clean water for about an hour just in case they have been kept with a snail killer at the LFS which would also harm my shrimp.

Yeh good idea, give them a rise to remove any copper based molluscicide that might be on them as these can kill shrimp as well.
