About a month ago i got a new fishtank (around 9 gallons) and i have 4 tetra 3 mollies and a catfish.
I was suprised to find the day after buying the mollies that one, or maybe two im not sure, had babies. :hyper:
I didnt know what to do, so i put them in a net in the tank so the other fish couldnt eat them, i only have one left, loads died.
I hope someone can give me advice on how to look after this one, and possible future ones.
I read about breeder nets, are these a good idea

Please give me help/advice.
Thanks,
Spectrum :look:

breeder nets are a good idea, dont buy breeder boxs theyre crap, a breeder net is best. watch the female and try to judge when she will drop(there are various threads on this) and then a day or two before pop her in the net and if she doesnt drop within 36 hours let her out.

as for the fry they just need to be feed crushed up flake( i find a mortar and pestle makes this job easy) or feed liqui-fry until they can take flakes. but fry like good water conditions or they may have stunted growth or become weak "etc"

Thanks, i will do that. what are the signs that my female is pregnant?

the gravid spot. a black dot starting to appear in the lower abdomen. plumpness, and before they give birth they can sometimes act rather slow or hang about a bit. well they do IME
