 ok the bi question is that the water looks almost murky well not 100percent clear but say about 75-85 percent clear im just wondering if its the glass of the tank that needs to be cleaned or leave it for the sucker thing i have to eat it off i gt food for him but he dont seem to eat it not that i can see its always sitting right next to him and he dont touch it but other nibble at it
i got both algue and shrimp pellets and he dont touch either one

what i wanted to know if the murkiness is from the glass i remeber while back i cleaned it by using the sponge and it seem clearer but i m not sure i should or shouldnt because i dont want to take the food source from the sucker (cae)goldend one ....
any answers would be great and helpful suggestions too..... i got a 10 gallon that is 4 weeks old and the fishy i have in there are doing great i got 5 neon tetras one sucker and one black moor in there a baby one .... i am planning on getting a 55 gallon tank in a mth and will cycle that first and transfer teh neon in the new tank and leaving the other 2 in the ten gallon tank and use it as a quartine tank with meds thats my plan ...... im loving it so far and hope it continues well

whats your maintenance routine, water changes, filter cleans etc?

i change it weekly mostly 2ce a week ...let the filter soak in the tank and replaced the filter just last nite ... i would thought it would be normal like by now

the black moor i checked and it s ok as long as its in the 72-76 range thats where my tank is at 76-78 so its ok

OK, well the neons are not great in a new tank as theyre quite sensitive. I also think that keeping a species of goldfish in with tropicals is not great either. Goldfish produce loads of waste and need weekly gravel vacs + 30% weekly water changes to deal with them. Also 10 gallons is really too small a tank for goldfish to be kept in. 20 gallons is really a minimum size as they get really big. The "sucker" i'm also a little dubious about. You really need to find out what species it is to find out if it's suitables for your tank. Look through the pictures of catfish here as this is what it is most likely to be:

You also should not be replacing your filter material after such a short time. Most filters have a sponge, filter wool and cermic media (white tubes in them). You may just have sponge in a smaller tank though. This sponge just needs squeezing ou in old tank water every week.

Finally, I would say that you murky water is due to having an over stocked tank that is still cycling. My best advice really is to try out all the things above. Get rid of the black moor as it's really not suitable for that tank. Let us know what species your "sucker" is and read all of the articles here:

Good luck and
