i just bought a second hand Eheim co2 set, include a regulator, diffuser, reactor. However it does not have cylinder.

i have never used this kind of set b4. so if i buy a new cylinder, is there any standard? i am afraid to buy one does not match.

is cylinder dangerous? i am kinda scared. what should be the right number on the pressure meter?

and where can i get it refilled? from the fish shop?

how should i switch off the CO2 at night, is there kinda valves i can buy?

too many questions, as i am a beginner.

many thanks for the helps.

CO2 cannister > Regulator > Solenoid (optional) > Needle Valve > Check Valve > Bubble Counter > Diffuser/ Reactor. CO2 Airline is also needed.

solenoid allows you to switch CO2 off at night, for more info on each item see this thread: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showto...p;#entry2104940

i would image it to be a disposable, so buy cannisters like these http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.php?...roducts_id=1564 (you can get them bigger & cheaper so shop around)

diposables cannot be refilled.

They are dangerous if you dont attach the reg properly, or konck it over damagin it etc but they are quite safe.

the seller said it would not fit disposeable one.
he said he normally use the pub size one, some small refill one should be ok too.
To be honest , i have no idea what it is.

can i use that one on ebay or not? if i can, that will save me some money.

meanwhile, the seller say i can refill it at TESCO, which is really convenient

many thanks

You can refill sodastream at Tesco but I doubt very much your regulator will fit the sodastream bottle. Check out the fire extinguisher route in Aaron's signature
