Hi, I have a lot of green water, just done my 50% weekly wc, is the best way to get rid of this some fast growing plants, I've tried a blackout but it hasn't done much. Could you suggest some really fast growing plants?

Eventually it will burn itself out without doing anything, water changes i dont think will help, a UV steriliser will work, how long did you do the blackout for? normal recommended time is 72 hours.

around 3 days so yeah, the wc is just for the fish, do you think more fast growing plants would work, this happened because I went on holiday and forgot to tell my grandma to turn the lights off I'll be getting a timer now.

You could try getting a breeding net and putting some daphnia in it.
