I thought that Neon's would be ok in my tank. one of the LFS said they would(not the one that I usually use). I bought 10 of them and The next morning 8 are gone. 2 lone neon's survived. I was going to scoop them out and take them back to the store, but had some things to do and figured taht the catfish would be full. By the time I went back to get them another one gone and a catfish with a big belly is what I found. Called the fish store that I usually use and they said catfish will eat anything they can get in their mouth. (now I know 
) So, I stocked my tank, but not with neon's. I ended up taking 2 Gourami's back (Opaline and Blue) because they were aggressive towards the other fish. I told you I'd let you know, so here's what I have now. Still have my catfish though.,.. they're neat!!
2 Pictus Catfish (Neon eaters)
6 Serpae Tetras
6 Painted Glass fish
3 Painted Tetras
5 Zebra Danios
2 Kissers
1 Blue Gourami (little guy)
1 Chinese Algae Eater
Think that's all for my tank!! Everyone seems to be doing well, but I thikn the Serpae tetras are fin nippers because the Glass fish and the 2 Kissers have ragged fins now. But everyone seems happy.
