my female molly has ich... no idea how or where but she has... all water parameters are absolutely perfect (you know what perfect means...)... Amm - 0ppm Nitrite - 0ppm.

Don't see that nitrate means much but it's under 40ppm anyway...

She is behaving very normally and only she has the spots... she also has ONE protruding scale (NOT DROPSY) which is covered in slime...

Her tail also has white splotches on at seeminggly regular intervals

Any help appreciated

Blubble the now noob again guy

Unlucky :/ But I can assure you, your not alone! My tank was infested with ich (came in with my new platies  ) But I treated it all with no losses. Then about a day later I noticed one of my platies has fungus. So I'm currently battling that!

Raising the temperature helped me, then go get some meds. I didn't add salt as I have cories and didn't want to risk harming them :good:

Good Luck :D

faity nuff then.....

like your signature BTW!

What is the hardness of your water? Mollies don't do too well in soft water conditions and can develop more issues because of it, including ich, etc.

i dont have a hardnes test kit but i do know that we have fairly hard water here

Just throwing it out there. Hope you get it all sorted.

to help with the treatment, whack the temperature of the tank up to as close as 30c as you can make it (some heaters can't quite get there). This dramatically speeds up the life-cycle stages of the parasite, so they will be in the water column (where they are vulnerable) more often during the treatment.

Your fish should be able to cope with the increase in temp. Just make sure the water is well oxygenated (hotter water = less oxygen content).

just to be sure......what fish are in the tank?

the stock is in my sig Zod, its the 95 litre

I have my tank temp at 27 already as i know bettas like warmer water... will start turning it up ASAP

I have plenty of oxygenation in there - surface is rippled like no tomorrow - loads of airstones and punctured pipes plus the 2 outlets on my filters... if that 'ent enough I dont know what is!!!

My heater goes up to 32C but it is set at 23C now but attaining 27C in reality...
