I don't have a photo but I have had the same four red eye tetras for about 4 months now. House mates are a Blue gourami, a pink kissing gourami and a chinese algae eater, and two ballon guppies. One of my tetras has developed a kind of white patch on his side. He is not acting differently and has had it about a week. I first thought someone took a nibbl;e but now am thinking it might be something else. It isn't red or yukky looking jsut like anotherfish took a nibble. Anyone have anything liek this haapen to their fish?

This kissing fish tend to be a little mean sometimes. What is your water readings???PH, Ammonia, nitrates, nitrites. IF I were you I would do some small water changes of about 25 percent. And add some melafix..

Does it have any fluffy fungus on it,
or red open sores, can you describe it abit more.

my water stats are as follows:

Ammonia 0
Nitrates 0
nitrites .25
ph 7.2
I did my water change yesterday as I do each week. things look good in the readings. I did add a tsp of aquarium salt so I will let you know how it goes in the next few days.

Thanks for the advice.

Is that meant to be nitritres 0 and nitrates 25, i would add some melafix to make sure it dosn't get infected, good luck.
