I often feed my Clowns Snails from my well planted tank as a treat, They love them, But ive noticed as they have got bigger they have become increasing more aggressive with each other when snails are involved.

Last night it got to the point were the largest or full erect all his fins and attacked the other with his eye bard, giving him a nasty scratch

There friends again now but the lesson is.... If you gonna feed your loaches Snails....... Make sure there is enough o go around

My clowns fight over bloodworm.

Do you only keep 2  as this are a social fish and should be kept within a group of 5, this will take all of the aggression out of them plus it will give them friends to play with, which in turn will make them more of a socail fish in the day.

I have two 2-3 inch loaches currently in my holding tank that will fight over food at any time. I can drop 2 shrimp pellets in and without fail they will both fight over one of them and ignore the second pellet. They've never noticably hurt one another. It's alot of fun to watch actually.

I'm interested to see if they'll still do it when there are a bunch more of them in a 75 gal.
