Was bored today so I took a video of one of my favorite fish.
here is the video.

I'm planning on getting some more swordtails, but a different type to breed her with. What type do you think I would get the most interesting results with?

That's a gorgeous fish. As long as we're being "that guy at the party who breaks out his wallet to show pictures of his kids" here are my videos.

That's a beautiful swordtail you've got there! I have a couple of males with black tails and silvery blue bodies..might be quite an interesting mix if you can find some...I see you're stateside..

I also LOVE your tank set up theotheragentm! Very cool. What type of fish are the 3 musketeers? Excuse my ignorance. I love the way they move around the tank...are they always like that??

The "3" musketeers are corries. That is a very nice long finned swordtail!!!!!!!!!!!! Try some black and white swords. I think that they are called tuxedo swords and they are about 3 dollars a piece in peoria, Illinois.

HI, WHAT IS THE PINK FISH CALLED THAT YOU HAVE? IT'S REALLY PRETTY, I WOULD LIKE ONE. WHAT IS THEIR NATURE? THANKS

That pink fish is a Glofish. It's a GM'd Zebra Danio. I guess I should explain. GM is genetically manipulated. It is not a dyed fish. They have jellyfish genes spliced into their DNA so they are pink, yellow, and green. They actually glow under black light. It was originally done to help with environmental pollution studies, but they found out they were so popular that they sell them to fish stores now. Their behaviour is exactly that of regular Zebra Danios and when they breed, you get the colors to carry on as well. Since they gene carries on with subsequent generations, the fish I have are actually not injected with the gene. They inherited it from the parents.

As they pose no threat to nature more so than normal Zebra Danios, they are legal in almost all of the United States. I know California is an exception as they have laws against ALL GM'd animals. They agreed to write an exception for Glofish, but the paperwork to file was too expensive for the company.

I don't know where you are from, so you'd have to check and see if they are available. http://www.glofish.com
