A Very Weird Female Swordtail.

1 month ago she gave birth to 50 or so fry, just yesterday she gave birth to 20 more fry. i noticed after she had the 50 she was getting larger again. whats got me wondering is that i dont have a male in the tank its just her with her small fry..

Female swordtails, guppies and mollys can hold sperm for a few months, it`s obviously a case whereby she`s been impregnated and she`s using the 'stored' sperm now that there`s no male with her.
You will likely see her pregnant and turning out fry for a few months now.

You are seeing what elsiew is talking about, they can store sperm in there bodies, so you can expect maybe one more small drop. but if your fry become sexually mature they will mate with her, even though she is their mother.
