picture taken from the open top of the tank, so sorry about the light ripple on the surface of the water... they seem to like to eat this red algae on this wood....

a lot of bad press about red algae, not sure the actual species, but it covers about 3/4 of this stick, and the tiger teddies and the yellow shrimp are breeding well in this tank... I saw a new batch of teddy babies when I took this picture today...

I knew there are several species of red algae, and was initially concerned ( it's been in this tank for more than 2 years ) it's never turned the water red, or spread to anything but this particular stick...

I asked AI if all red algae's are dangerous...

I think it's a nice color to highlight the yellow shrimp, which constantly graze on it, often 6-8 shrimp on this stick, eating it...
