some complete moron friend of a friend of a friend i know was gonna flush his gouramis away because he'd had enough of them, so i had no choice but to kidnapp them :look: only problem is im not too hot on gouramis and im not sure what kind they are.

ive been browsing the profiles and im pretty sure 2 of them are moonlights, they are about 2" long and pure silver, one of them however is similar in size only a nice yellow color with very small yellow spots on his fins. anyone got any idea what kind he is?

thanks :)

Lol - yes, they'll get larger than that! Actualy, three-spots (gold being on eof their many color morphs) grow to about 6" whereas moonlights grow to at least 7". Unfortunately, mature three-spots (ie: your gold) can be rather aggressive - particularly if yours is a male (males have longer and more pointed dorsal fins and females appear plumper). Also, obviously, you'll need quite a large tank because they all do grow to a substantial size and, being territorial, need their space. What size tank do you have them in and with what? You may well find you need to re-home them (or take them back to an LFS).

Hi there,

Here's a link you might like to look at, to me the 2 are moonlights, the other one would definitely be a golden gourami (have 2 myself)

Not an expert by any means but i think they get larger then 5 cm.

Yes definitely bigger, I just provided the link for picture purposes...the sizes next to the pictures are just to let customers know what sizes they have in stock, seeing as some people like to start with small or bigger if tankmates are a lil larger.
