A Single White Spot

I just noticed this on his fin and I'm worried it might be White spot and I don't want it spreading to the rest of the tank

I only got him last week!!

If one fish has it, it is safe to assume that all fish have it.

But whitespot manifests itself in multiple spots, so you may want to look at other diseases.

Like what? I've only had the tank 3-4 weeks so at the minute I'm pretty gutted to know anything is wrong

Ich is extremly common in new tank, just searchinng on here and google will open a world on knowledge on cures etc

You cycled your filter and everything?

I would recommend searching online for lists of common freshwater diseases, then reading a few and making sure you are aware of what they are and the symptoms. I'm not saying memorise, just be aware.
