Hello,
I am sad to report that my beautiful bright red male betta fish, Sam, passed away today. What could I have done to have prevented him from suffering like he did? When I took a good look at him, I saw that he had tail and fin rot, as well as a fungus over one of his eyes, which, for some reason, I didn't notice. I feel horrible for having this happen. I went to the pet store with a friend to get something to get rid of the fungus and the fin and tail rot, but it was too late.
This is my very first fish and I feel terrible. I now understand what happened to cause the fungus... IT WAS THE HEAT, THAT DARN HEAT! Sam, my betta, was such a beautiful bright red betta fish and I will surely miss him. I wish there were more that I could have done for him.
