A question...

I'm thinking about writing up a basic thread about genetics. Nothing too exciting, just some definitions and a discussion of basic Mendelian genetics. Lucky me, I have all the info right at my fingertips, because I kept many of my textbooks after I graduated in June.

Does this sound like something anyone is interested in? If not, I'm not going to waste my time.

To what purpose - as a discussion or as an article that you want pinned?

I never expect anything I write to get pinned . People could discuss, if they wanted to - I just thought people might want to be able to have some basic info at their beck and call, considering we have so many enthusiasts and breeders here. Discuss, or whatever - if people did a search for genetics, they could find all the basic info in one place. I'm not a geneticist, but I am a biologist, and am willing to share what I know.

I just did a title search on genetics for any date, and got no hits. That's why I was wondering if we wanted or needed one.

Oops, I lied, there are a few hits on genetics title searches when I search all sub-forums. However, they appear to be betta specific and mostly questions.

Okay, well, I'm off to run errands. I'll get to work on it when I return home.

Okay, the first installment is complete and posted in breeding. I'm guessing i'll write two more sections. (I'll just add them on the original thread.)
