ive had plants in my tank now for a few mounths and it look great but now some of them have got algy crap on them. one type of plant which has long leaves ( dont no the name of them) have holes in them as well, dunno if fish have been eating them or wat but it looks like its getting worse. i have a light for them and have put some plant growth stuff in at christmas time but now its goin all werd. some of them are ok but the ones that have leaths have just gon wrong

i have no idea on plants realy so advice on what i have 2 do or get will be a great help :-(

i would say read some of the stickies at the top of the planted forum, they have alot of useful information. I think it would be easier to help you out if oyu gave us some background on your tank... stock, water parameters, lighting conditions, what fertilizer etc. it is very hard to give you specific advice without it. get back with the stats and im sure you will get all the advice you need!

What fish are in the tank, we have to know in order to tell you if they're eating the plants

also tank size would be helpful too, as well ae said above tank stats

Cheers Gordon

the tank size is 14 wide, 41 wide and 17 high.
the fish i have in it is neons, barbs, clown loches a silver shark red tailed shark, few plattys
the plant food i put in is from nutrafin. it says 2 capfulls per 15 gallons and provides 0.3mg/1 of iron.
the light i have is a fresh water lamp which is 30w

i am planing on makin a new tank which will be bigger so if you have any sugestions to help the plants in there then that will be greatfull as well http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=177012
