It's the museum of science in boston and it's a heart, lungs and trachea of a sheep. The department i work in is all about the human body, physiology, evolution ect. Mostly we teach kids and this exhibit is very popular.
hmmmmmmm lungs and hearts!
Well at least the sheep didn't smoke, you can see that!
That is awesome to teach youngings about the anatomy, something about seeing it first hand that makes it seem more "real" and sometimes to learn!
Good for you Gaya!
yea, kids will definitely remember better from first hand experience. I know I've learned more with a real exhibit then from any of the classes I've ever taken. We let the kids touch it as well (with plastic sandwich bags on their hands of course), very few of them are ever squeamish.
It certainly is smelly but mostly of alcohol. There’s a small fridge below the counter and we keep organs in plastic boxes filled with alcohol in there. But we get new ones once a week so it doesn’t get that bad. Guess ya get used to it after while.
