again, i'm only trying to highlight that it is quite a serious thing to do...

If anyone has a problem with me using their pictures please tell me before 3rd October and I will make sure they are not used

^^not the right way to go about it.

Yes, I take your point, and I'm not disagreeing with you.

If anyone would like to volunteer a picture of their tank for use, please PM me.

perhaps that would've been better?

Phrasing nuances aside, I don't think that improving the knowledge surrounding plants that are suitable for fishtanks, and trying to persuade people that they are better for the fish, are bad aims. Perhaps Hollywood1992 can post up more details of her ideas so far?

I would like to point out that this applies to other photos too, not only ones on this forum: Hollywood1992, if you look for photos elsewhere, you must read the license and comply with it. If there is no license information, then it is by default licensed under copyright (you can't use them without explicit permission). Copyleft licences may require anything from non-commercial use to crediting the author.

If you want to use any of my photos, contact me as I have some specific conditions I would want you to fulfil.

Hello
I have made a new thread stating what I need and what I'm doing etc- including a note regarding copyright :) it's under the thread "aquarium plants" . At present my display is going have a picture of the nitrogen cycle (A4 sized) with the question "Why should I add live plants to my aquarium", These answers will then be pur around the display:

1) Live plants often last longer than artificail ones
2)They improve the water quality of the aquarium
3)They create a more natural enviroment for the fish
4) Rooted Live plants are more cost effective than artificial plants/plants with no roots

There will also be TOP TIPS when adding plants to an aquarium

1) Take potted plants out of the pots
2) Add the plants before you add the fish so that you can rearrange them to the style you want (or words to that effect).

It's a work in progress :) but the plant pictures are the most important part as many people bring up the "excuse" that their tank is too small or that it is only for the children so they don't need to bother
