Fishaholic
I recently moved the five gallon tank with a betta into my room, and I love how it looks when the light is on at night. However, I know the fish probably dosen't, so I don't leave it on.
I would love to have a tank I could leave on at night. It dosen't have to have fish, though that would be neat. I don't want it over 5 gallons, so we are looking at 1 to 5 US gallons.
I am terrible with plants (just ask the few brown leaves left of my java fern) but a tank with a few plastic plants would be rather boring! I was thinking maybe some snails or something? Would semi-constant light bother snails? (I could turn it off during the day while I'm gone.) Or maybe shrimp, or a blind fish that wouldn't care about light?
I know I am wanting this tank for ornamental reasons, but of course they are living creatures, and I will treat them as such. If the novelty wears off, either the occupants will move in with the betta in the 10 gallon, the betta in the 5 gallon, or it will just be treated as an ordinary tank.
Any suggestions?
