I posted as a comment to someone but I thought it might help out others as well.
My kids are always trying to feed the fishy tank. I went out and bought one of those 7 day pill case things. Once a week I fill all the days. That way if someone gets there before or after me we don't add to much. So far we haven't had an issue with anyone missing a day. Works well maybe you can get one for all your helpers. I'm sure those of you that have been in the hobby a while hide the food, but some of us pretend to SHARE the tank with the family. Or maybe some of you really do share.
Just an idea from an over protective fish lover

Sounds like a good idea. I know my wife and i have both fed them before. Of course, the fish didn't complain. They're a bunch of pigs anyway.

It would work great if you were going on vacation and wanted to pre-measure the food for whoever was going to feed them.

when i saw the topic title those pill things were going to be my suggestion but you beat me to it

lol

I've had some pretty bad results with people taking care of my tanks, for even a week. Next time I'm going away from a week I'm just going to not have anyone feed the fish; it may not be any fun for the fish but that way I won't come back to 2 dead fish in 5 days.

Now the only person who's allowed to touch my tanks is me and my dad.

That would be a nightmare. lol

I just got a neighbour to do it. Or my older bro. Its a good idead though

That's a GREAT idea! A few weeks ago I set up a betta tank on my desk at work. My office is in a drop in centre for people with mental illness and the members of the program have adopted 'Finnigan' as their mascot :p I've hidden the food, however have had to get others to feed him when I take a day off or have meetings all day away from the office.

My coworker is feeding him today for me.. but i just KNOW he's giving waaaay more than the 3-4 pellets I've asked him to drop in. As he says 'that just doesn't look enough..poor Finni eats them so fast them swims around begging for more so I usually drop in a 'few' extra' (I've been scared to ask just how many more that its :X )

I've been soo worried about what I'm going to do on my upcoming week off.. and have even considered bringing him home with me for the week.. but this pill box idea is a perfect idea! Now I've just gotta teach someone how to do water changes...
